|
|
After recently upgrading to a HTC Touch HD, I noticed the default icons supplied with the PGPSW database are displayed very small - so small in fact that they are not easy to identify. I have designed some larger icons which are easier to identify at a glance and are sized 48x48. If anyone wants them, they can be downloaded from here. Currently I only have them in UK Speed Zoned format, but if enough people want them for different databases, i'll come up with some designs for these.

Nice icons. Dids you try using the 44x44 versions we have available on our icons page here?
Is 48x48 the largest you can use on McGuider? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Being WVGA (480 x 800) the HD display will make icons look considerably smaller than the application running on a more normal QVGA display - Mike |

Cheers. I haven't tried the larger ones yet but probably will in the future. All I was doing here was playing to see what I would come up with.
No idea what the largest size icons McGuider supports. Everything I read suggested it was 28x28, but since those are nice and small on the Touch HD I tried larger (gone to 50x50 so far). I found 48x48 to be a reasonable size, and roughly the same as the in built POI icons. |

I have some 44 x 44 icons on my TT page. They are configured for use with TomTom's, so not sure how they would work on your system.
The first set includes icon and sound files. The second set just icons.
Have a look HERE |

I've had official word from Sygic about the supported icon sizes. They say they support the sizes as available on the favourite icons they provide. The largest of these is 103x101. Since I have also used sizes under this (but not available in the provided favourite icons) I assume the program supports any size icon below this (and possibly slightly larger too) |
