Hi Guys,
Hopefully someone can help me here, i've tried Memory Map support and got nowhere.
I am trying to find a way to export Track/Trail info recorded on a route and downloaded to Memory Map.
To be precise, I want to produce an Elevation v Distance Profile chart in a third party program (Apple Keynote or Powerpoint or Excel) and be able to show it on a web page. I understand that you can print the memory map one and then manually transfer all the data onto a chart, but is there a way of importing a file into an excel/chart program and have the chart automatically produce the profile much like the Memory Map one?
I hope I have explained myself clearly and someone can help.
Thanks Guys
Andy. |

This doesn't look easy, at first glance.
You can easily extract the height data from your Track, if you export it as a CSV file. The format is shown under MM Help [basically Lat, Long, GPS altitude, time, speed, course, heartrate (if any) for each trackpoint along your way].
You will see that this file does not contain the cumulative distance, so you'd need some ingenuity and application to derive it.
Of course, if it helps, you can R click on the MM elevation profile chart. and print it to a PDF file (via such as the freeware Primo PDF writer).
Hope this gets you some way towards your project.

Try GPSU (www.gpsu.co.uk) which does most of what you want - draw a graph and save as a bit map. Note that MM uses it's own height profiles whilst GPSU uses what the GPS has recorded. |

Convert the track to a route and then export a route card.
The default html format will contain an image of the profile and the waypoint data. Alternatively export in .csv format. |
