|
|
I am still trying to download the speed zoned cameras and Liz voice alerts with Poi Loader on my Garmin 550 and whilst it appears to download I end up with no voice alerts. Please can anyone tell me what I must be doing wrong. Thanks. |

Edit:
Do the file names for the voice alerts match the filenames for the database you have downloaded? |

Shouldn't do. I assume you are loading them by mixing them with the CSV and BMPs and then uploading them all with POILoader?
Can you confirm the 550 has an mp3 player? |

Yes the 550 does have an MP3 player.
I think I am putting them in the right place, both as Speed Zoned- should I try a different format.? |

Should work then...

You have unzipped the contents into a folder haven't you? Then upload the contents to the unit with POILoader. |

I assumed I was putting them in the right place as I have the safety cameras OK, but as you will gather my confidence is shattered. Thanks for your trouble. |

Can you just confirm what i am asking above? That you are putting the mp3 files in with the csv and bmp files in a folder on your PC and are uploading the lot with POILoader?
Was the voice pack you downloaded - garmin_liz_w_speedzoned.zip?
For each csv file you have a corresponding mp3 with the exact same same?
i.e.
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.csv
pocketgps_uk_gatso_20.mp3
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.csv
pocketgps_uk_gatso_30.mp3
etc |

Just to let you know, I have finally succeeded. Apparently I needed to free up some space on the 550. Many thanks, especially to PaulB2005. |

I'm having the same problem on my 550, can you explain how to do it and which files are needed. |

You can get the voice packs here. If you read through the abov it should help but essentially you need to mix the mp3s with the speed camera files and upload the lot to your unit.
Any problems - just ask. |
