Given the utilities turboccc has kindly provided, recently, does anybody know of a way that the TTS voices can be altered so that street numbers are pronounced A-one-two-three-four, rather than A-one thousand-two hundred-and-thirty four?
I just find the spoken numbers irritating as they are.

My nuvi350 uses both, some roads are always pronounced A-one-two-three-four and others always A-one thousand-two hundred-and-thirty four.

See that's kind of what I've experienced. I first had emily configured as the voice, and noticed, over time, that she seemed to be saying A-one thousand-two hundred-and-thirty four a lot, so swapped to daniel. And at first, I kind of thought he was saying A-one-two-three-four - and I'm sure I have heard him say A road names like that, but these days, it's always the more irritating variant.
And the reason why I'm so polarised against it, is how my mind seems to work when thinking about road numbers - when I recognise them from signs, in my head, I don't see A-one thousand-two hundred-and-thirty four, but A-one-two-three-four - and that, for me, is where TTS is of benefit - when what you're being directed to, matches what you're seeing on road signs. But when you have to translate / convert, you're losing some of the advantage.
I've been thinking of how I refer to roads and I'm not consistent in how I pronounce them, in my area I will refer to roads as, A-six, A-fifty-nine, A-five-six-five, a-five-seventy and A-five-two-o-nine, I presumably change the way I say them to whichever is the easiest, five-six -five is easier than five hundred and sixty five and five-seventy is easier than five-seven-o or five hundred and seventy.perhaps I'm even more awkward than either emily or daniel.

That's actually a good point - two digit road numbers I do tend to think of, and pronounce as A-twenty-three. It's all the three and four digit stuff I'd actually thing about the digits individually.
I also noticed different voices do different things. I will keep an eye on this in the future. For now, I have no idea how to fix this... Sorry guys! _________________ Latest RGN_Tool, GIR_Editor, Extra_POI_Editor and other Garmin tools: Click HERE
