One of my friends has to pick someone up from T5 soon so she bought the upgrade for her TT910.

She hardly ever drives up on the M25 so thus thought having the more accurate data would help.

Anyway, she tells me T5 is not on the maps, Is this true? Are the new maps that bad?

I have just told her to route to one of the other terminals and look for the road signs...

It's included in the POIs on v720 and v805 maps.

Thankyou,
I have asked her to re-check and given her some extra info on how to find airports on her TT via the complex TT menu structure.

I will report back with any progress....

Hi HummerUK
I went onto the Heathrow Terminal 5 website and gleaned the following info ‘Terminal 5 has a dedicated M25 slip road at Junction 14. It is the only Heathrow terminal with direct access to the M25'.

However, there was no need for me to have gone to the bother of surfing the net because Anne was on the ball with her obvious answer of checking the Airports POI. And if you then go to the map mode you will see Terminal 5.

The roads from the M25 to T5 are on the v6.75 maps, The Airport PoI is not on though. Only PoIs for T1-T4. Don't use them. T5 is a different place!!

Don't forget that if you want to add the T5 POI to the built-in "Airport" category, you can use the method I describe here:
Merging Your Own Poi Files With The Built In Categories

As I said above it's already there.

I realise it is on the v8 maps POIs.
My answer was not to you hoppy, but to those with earlier maps where it ISN'T.

If possible, can someone post a screenshot of the airport site with terminals 4 and 5 on there, on my 7.15 map I only have 1, 2 and 3.
Thanks.

I have Terminals 1, 2, 3 & 4 on my v675 maps (bought in April 2007), BUT terminal 4 is in the wrong place. It's shown in the same place as Terminal 3 in the centre of the airport.

Terminal 4 is on the south side of Heathrow, accessed from the Southern Perimeter Road.

Terminal 5 has access from the M25 from a new junction 14a just to the north of J14. These roads are shown white on my map and run between the motorway and Western Perimeter Road, passing over Stanwell Moor Road on the west side of Heathrow.

Are the terminals in the correct place on the newer maps?

Some screen dumps from the 675 map.

This is where TomTom show Terminal 4 in the middle of the airport:

This is where it actually is:

And this is where Terminal 5 is:

Sorry about that Andy I should have read the post better, I missed the bit about built in POI's. I thought you ment the POI's from this site which are more upto date anyway.

Just had a look at the link you posted and it looks good, but I wonder if you can clarify something please.
Once the ov2 files have been downloaded, how does the text (inf) file pick up the ov2 data, and where is the ov2 file stored?
Sorry if I'm being thick!
