NavnGO has just supended all business activities with one of it's EU partners, MIO, who as you all know, is a wholly owned subsisary of Mitac Corp.
Reasons given is that, I believe, Mio has been very successful and a little bit naughty, (presumably in cloning more than the agreed amount of software?) in selling a lot of MIOs with Igo My Way PDA software, and NavnGo don't like it.
Funny how different the reaction is to a situation where corporate business is involved, isn't it?
The big stick approach is usually the norm with any individual customer who tries to protect his own investment after purchase.
They say that they hope the situation will be resolved as quickly as possible.
Mio handing over the excess profits, maybe? |

Mio products never used iGO 8. They used a version of iGO 6, but this stopped several months ago. |

this was reported back in March when we were informed by (then) CEO Leon Van de Pas about it.
i honestly can't remember the ins and outs of it but the gist was basically that mio started using the 'igo' brand name as their own on some of their eastern european (or was it the aussie ones?) models.

I believe it was "IGO MY WAY", MaFt.
Anyway, if previously reported by NaVnGo, why repeat it now? |

Sorry MaFt, I didn't mean you had repeated the news article. I had meant to ask why NaVnGo had repeated the old news now. |
