Hi
I am a newbie here so apologies in advance for any mistakes....
I desperately need help please.
My grandson got hold of the software disk for my ViaMichelin X960 and badly scratched it.... now I need to reinstall it on my newly rebuilt pc, but the disk won't work.
I have contacted ViaMichelin and they are as much use as a chocolate teapot. They just don't want to know, complete disinterested in my dilemma. I have also contacted where I had it from (Axa Life Insurance.... yeah I am giving my age away here) and just got no response at all.
Can anyone help me please?

The address in this thread:
Viamichelin product support
MAY be of use, but I have a strong feeling that VM are trying to hide until they close down completely. I looked on their website help page for telephone support and, apart from saying they provide it, they seem determined not to let anyone know what the number is - probably accounts for your experience. Still - hope on.
The only other (dodgy) possibility I can think of is to see if there is anything on ebay/internet which might help. _________________ David

Hi
Thanks for that.
I have tried emailing their support, but as I said, they are not interested, they do not support these items anymore as they are discontinued.
I have searched all the torrent groups that I can with no success.... I can get the maps etc., but not the navigation sync software.
It looks as though I have a useless sat nav :-(

Do you have a local 'Game' shop anywhere near you. Our local one has a disc repair service. For a few £'s they'll polish scratches out. Failing that there are such services available on the web. |

Is it frowned upon more than discontinuing support & removing the facility for customers to purchase legitimate updates? |
