|
|
Hello all,
I have an Ipaq H2210 using TomTom software with a Globalsat CF GPS in a Seido mount. The Sedio mount has an RJ45 lead which plugs straight into the mount & the other end plugs into a GPS, I would like to be able to simply plug the Ipaq into the mount without the GPS sticking out of the top.
Is there a lead which I could plug the GPS into (CF) which would convert to RJ45 so I could leave the GPS strapped to the back of the mount?
Thanks in advance. |

Such a device would be far more than a lead. If you really do want the capability, the only option is either to buy a GPS mouse, or buy a Haicom HI-303 series GPS, which is a CompactFlash card with the ability to connect a cable.

That can't work on two counts. Firstly, CompactFlash card readers only support memory cards. Secondly, no iPAQ has USB host capabilities, just USB client, which is a very different thing.
I repeat - there is no way to do what you want other than to change the GPS.

Hello again,
I am still trying to do this conversion, I have the pin layout for the RJ11 socket on the mount but I also need a pin layout for the Globalsat CF GPS or the CF pins on the IPAQ 2210.
Thanks in advance. |

Forget it.
You will be better off getting a mouse GPS and it is a lot cheaper than what you wanted to do, if ever you can do it. _________________ Pc-Mobile
