Hi all,
I'm currently using CoPilot 5 on my Ipaq h3970 using OS version Windows CE 4.20. My question is, would I encounter problems upgrading to Copilot 7?

Windows CE 4.2 is otherwise known as Pocket PC 2003 so in theory it is compatible However I have a 3970 and have found it ok until the most recent version of Co Pilot 7 - 7.7.0.134 when I was getting a lot of crashes and hangs and Safety alerts don't work.
Having spoken to ALK they tell me they have seen problem with the 3xxx series iPAQs and version 7.
Having recently loaded this version onto an iPAQ 5450 I don't have the same problems, however the speaker is far too quiet on that unit. |

Thanks ccarmock for a your reply I didn't expect one so soon thanks again.
What I'm thinking of doing is, buying Copilot 7 from an online store (clove), I'd be surprised if it's the latest version then not updating for several weeking hoping that by then ALk will have issued at patch.
Hope this sounds sensible.

The version I had working before that DID work OK was 7.0.6.121
That didnt crash as much on the 3970 - it did a coupel of times but not liek the latest version.
That version might still be available from the FTP server. The copy on the DVD I got when purchasing was Ok too - but Live didn't work - that was what the 7.0.6.131 version fixed.
