Why is the Pocket GPS web page too big to read without using the horizontal scroll bars? It is extremely frustrating! |

Hi Minignome,
This can be easily remidied...
If you right click on your PC desktop and select 'Properties' and then 'Settings', set the screen resolution to 1024 x 768 pixels.
At the moment your screen resolution is probably set to 800 x 600. You will find that this solves your problem and the forum pages all fit perfectly into one window then.

Hi Bo Peep
Thanks for your reply - Now I need to invest in a larger monitor ( 17" now) the type is so small my poor ol' eyes can hardly read it - either that or buy a magnifying glass!
Thanks for the solution |

Flat panels, particularly digital flat panels (DVI graphics card and DVI input to the panel) are very good.
I'm using an admittedly high end Dell 1703FP - 1280 by 1024 on a 17 inch panel. It works perfectly for me! (Incidentally, the picture size is comparable to a 19 inch Trinitron monitor, and the panel is much sharper).

If you dont have a megga bank balance then a 15" LCD works ok.
Same viewing area as a 17" CRT
1024 x 768 pixels is normal res for them. _________________ Ian.

The default in survey's that most internet companies have created show 1024x768 to be the default setup for around 70% of internet surfers. Personally I like 1280x1152, but most laptop screens only go up to 1024x768 on the LCD. Having a site with as much content on the page that we have, we had to choose over a year ago to go to 1024x768 resolution, anyone running a screen at a lower resolution will have to horizontally scroll. |
