|
|
I've been out of touch for a while (got a job that required commuting by train rather than car) so can anyone tell me what the current software is for a 910?
I am on version 6 point something.
Also I don't use HOME so is the current version downloadable anywhere? |

v7.20 is the latest version showing as available on the TT web site.
As far as I'm aware, these maps are only available to download via TT Home and they're about 1.6-1.7GB.
This information is available by clicking here _________________ Andy

Thanks, wow £75!
Will the latest app work with my current 6.x maps? And is it worth upgrading? |

That's the Western & Central Europe map, other maps are available - eg Western Europe, £59.95
Click on the above link and select 'change' next to the map selection
It doesn't say that you need to download or install anything other than the maps, but perhaps somebody with more experience could clarify this
I just did a quick look-see to ascertain what was available for the 910 _________________ Andy

The new map will require the latest application on the device to use it, the software releases are free only the maps are charged for.
You could update the software on the 910 for free by installing the TomTom Home to the PC and connecting the 910 to the PC, Home will download and install the latest application for free.
If you want a map you will have to purchase that via TomTom Home which will download and install it. If you don't trip to Europe and only want the UK map get that as it will save a few pounds, the smaller UK+ROI map will work on the 910 - Mike |

Where are they saying that?
I think that v7.162 is the latest for the x10 series.
I've never seen a release of v7.20... but v7.020, v7.210, 7.220, v7.221, and the much distrusted v7.480 and v7.481 have all been released for the x20 models only. |

I suspect Andy has confused the latest v7 maps which are v.7.20 with the latest firmware which is as you suggest v.7.162. _________________ Darren Griffin |

That's 'andy Andy.
I'm totally baffled, but thought I"d found a gem of information.
Having said that, if TT are showing misleading information on their web site, how are customers supposed to keep on top of it (except by reading here, of course)? _________________ Andy

I've been keeping a list of software versions (and Home versions too) HERE
I think it's up to date, but if any one has any corrections or additions, I'd love to hear about it. |
