|
|
Are there any other HAM Radio Licensees within our ranks? SatNav is a pretty good fit for the Amateur Radio community so I'd have thought we must have some users here?
I'm asking as I took the Foundation Licence exam before Christmas and am currently preparing for the Intermediate but haven't found any good web forums where I can discuss what may well be stupid questions for experienced users!
The Usenet group is unbelievably arrogant and unwelcoming, I have never found a collection of users so vehemently set on excluding new entrants to the hobby! _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thanks, we do have a very good local club, Hog's Back ARC with whom I sat my exam but I don't often have the time spare to attend regular meetings, excuses of course but I find forums and the like much easier ways of getting into a hobby initially at least? _________________ Darren Griffin |

Why don't you try this link Darren.

It might be useful, I don't know whether you'd want to join though. _________________ Mike

Darren - My User name is a bit of a give away, don'tcha think ;)
Currently using TT6 (and that'll change once the maps in it are completely obsolete, just look at my post history!) and MemoryMap with an HP iPAQ HW6915. The POI (and speed camera databases) files for both are rather handy, of course ;) |
