Hi,
I'm interested to know (call it a straw poll if you like) if the forum thinks it reasonable for an existing user to pay for an upgrade sometime in the near future to restore the functionality lost between Copilot Live 6 and 7.
Specifically, I talking about text-to-speech, support for custom or third party POIs, bitmap graphics all of which were part of the functionality of CPL6 but are no longer part of CPL 7 even though the specification states they are?
Thanks

I can't see many people paying for things that should have been there in the first place.
Why do you ask? |

You can input custom POIs although you can't do it via copilot central like you used to do it in CP6. You have to create an OV2 file or CSV file and drop it directly into the PPC. It took me quite a while to learn the fine points of doing it, but it does work.
As far as all the other features, I sure would like to see ALK add functionality each time instead of taking some away. |

I would love to know what the fine points of doing this are. After being a CP6 user and moving to CP7 I am very disappointed with the lack of support for custom POIs. Can someone point me to a step-by-step on how to get the custom POIs showing in CP7?
