Just got my competition prize an Evermore Everphoto GT-800BT and wanted to try it out on recent journey in the car. I did a 15 mile round trip and plugged it into the computer to see if my trip showed up on Google earth I followed the instructions and opened the gpslog.dat file in the evermore and all I could see on the map was a straight line from Taiwan stopping somewhere in the North Sea. Zooming in I could see that at the end of the line there was seemed to be some sort of route indicated but I was still in the North Sea. I hold my hands up and admit that this type of equipment is new to me and I don`t fully understand it but I can`t wait to get to grips with it and start loading up some pictures. Am I doing something wrong with the software, does the unit need callibrating, why did I end up in the North Sea. Any help would be appreciated.

Just tried again on another 25 mile round trip and while it seems to be showing the route I took it places me in the North Sea again about 75 miles off Grimsby. Is it broke or am I doing something wrong? |

Seemed to have solved this by installing the latest software but this has now caused another problem. It won`t let me upload photos whereas the previous version did but showed them as being in the North Sea. Very disappointed and frustrated |

Does anybody know anything about these things. I thought I`d give it one more go to prove its worth by taking it on a trip to Poland. When I got home I loaded it up with the gpslog.dat file from the Evermore and I got an error message saying "No file to transfer" and then "cannot open file" so I then in desperation loaded up a photo I had taken only to be greeted with the message " "is not a valid date and time". I set the camera before I started to local Polish time. Can anyone help before this thing ends up in the bin |
