|
|
Hi guys,
I'm involved in organising a ride out to Le Touquet on behalf of Spinal
Research on the 7th of June, currently we have about 80 bikes signed up
to take part and I was hoping that some of you would also like to be
involved and show off your navigational skills...!
The bikers involved come from various clubs & organisations including the
Gixxer club, Knobblies, GS Club UK, Versys Club, Bandit Forum, Triumph
Tiger club and various others are getting involved. Full details on the
rideout are on the spinal research website here:
http://www.spinal-research.org/display_page.asp?section=bikes&id=329
Looking at the numbers we have now, we could probably also do with the more people that have Garmin units to help out.
We have three routes to LeTouquet & back and have them saved as dot gdb files for our ride out.

Can I ask why you're only after Garmin users? Have you got enough Tomtom users already? _________________ Tim |

I'm happy enough for Tom Tom Users to take part, but I only have routes in gdb files, so for any that would like to help out - I won't be able to give routes. _________________ www.knobblies.org

Would love to come on the ride-out but probably won't be able to find the time. If you want me to convert the Garmin route files to TomTom ITN format so that the unenlightened can also take part then let me know. _________________ Chas

I have a foot in both camps. I could even run both devices, one on each handlebar, I suppose. _________________ Tim |

I'm seriously thinking about it. I'm self-empolyed, though, so if I have a contract, I have to work. If I'm between contracts, or in a long term one that I can take a day or two off, I'm in. When is the cut-off date, please? _________________ Tim |
