Is it possible to rename POIs on a TTG720?
I've noticed that some hotel's have renamed/rebranded like Travel Inn are now Premier Inn, Little Chef's aren't always Little Chef's anymore and so on..
Your help would be appreciated.

If the POI files are the built in ones then you could use MapShare to update the POI files, if they are third party POI downloaded from a web site you can use the add POI or delete POI for each entry that is incorrect - Mike |

Do you mean the built-in ones that came with it when you bought it?
Or are these POIs that you have added from sites like this one?
If #2 - easy, use a utility such as POI Edit to rename the entries on your own files, or if they are from here, far better to send a correction report using
THIS PAGE, wait a few days then download the updated files.
If #1 - easy now there's Map Share. If you have Map Share available, just find the POI on the map and tap on it to place the blue cursor right on it. Then tap the cursor button at the bottom and select "Correct Location" / "Edit POI" / and tick "Rename POI".
Edit - Rats, beaten by Mike... (but he didn't mention submitting a correction to Oldie, so I win! ) |

Now this is where the problem lies.
TT Home2 tells me that there's 14k+ map updates to download & my updates are 23 weeks out of date, but it won't update!
I can't find out how to get it do download them or force it to download them! |

Now I don't know what's going on, but everything has all of a sudden updated...
Mapshare & POI's have updated and all is fine!
Thanks anyway! |

It happens.....
Don't try to understand why, just shrug and say "Home" while looking skywards! |
