I'm a Destinator3 user, I was thinking of get TomTom3 but If these town and there associated roads are miss.. Think I'll stick with what I've got
The issue is not that they aren't on the map, just that when you try to plan a route to, say, Knutsford, the town name doesn't appear in the list of 'to' addresses. The town name isn't on the map, either - in that example, if I select a destination in Knutsford, it's listed as Bexton Hall (Cheshire).
Interestingly, I chose a starting point on the A50 just after it crossed the A556 north of the town, and when I go to the 'plan route' section in map view, it shows this as 'Mere (Wiltshire)'. Not bad, Wiltshire to Knutsford in eight minutes.

Assuming Navigator 3 is similar to Navigator 2, almost certainly what's missing is the entries for these places in the database rather than the places themselves in the mapping data. This problem is usually down to deficiencies in TeleAtlas mapping data, and such problems are almost invariably shared with other applications that use the same TeleAtlas data.
To the original poster - try looking for the streets you want under the names of neighbouring towns, or under the name of the local council. This often worked with Navigator 2. Unfortunately I don't yet have a copy of Navigator 3 to be able to test your entries myself.
In Navigator 2, Buxton is in the database as Buxton (High Peak), which suggests that High Peak should also work instead of a town name. This is the area covered by High Peak Borough Council.
Knutsford is in as Knutsford (Macclesfield) - it is in the Macclesfield Borough Council area. This suggests Macclesfield might work instead of a town name to find roads in Knutsford - though Macclesfield is, itself, in the database as a town.
Disley isn't in - neighbouring New Mills is, though. Both are in the Macclesfield Borough Council area. I just tried a few roads in Disley, and found them perfectly when I'd selected Macclesfield as the town. Indeed, you should find them with any town that's listed as (Macclesfield) selected - they certainly worked out OK with New Mills selected as the town.
The behaviour of Navigator 3 may be different - as I said, I haven't got a copy yet, so I can't be certain. However, Navigator 2's database works more around administrative areas than actual towns. If Navigator 3's database is similar to Navigator 2's, do not expect the identifier in brackets after the place name to be that of the county - it will more likely be the name of the local borough, district or unitary council.
The two in Norfolk point to almost the same place as each other. The fact that these places appear in Navman's (TeleAtlas supplied) data suggests that it is a Tomtom issue. _________________ Tim

Thanks, Tim - assuming you're talking about SmartST Pro version 2 (version 1, of course, is NAVTEQ data), then it's TomTom's fault rather than TeleAtlas'.

Dear Mr Eden,
Try searching by county eg Yorkshire then put in the street address , or try a postcode search.
As in any map paper or electronic errors can occur.
Our map data is supplied by Teleatlas and I have enclosed a URL where if you wish you can
advise of them of the error(s)

deesoft, I live a few miles from J8/M62 and was interested to see if it was included in TTN3 maps - well it is! When I first looked it doesn't appear to be on the map but when you zoom in you will see that in fact it is there. I put in a dummy destination from my house and true enough it routes me via the new J8. With TTN2 it always routed me via J9.

I visited Disley, Cheshire, last evening and tried to find 12 Royal Road.
I didn't know the postcode so that was all the information available.
This exercise defeated TT3 totally!
I searched for this under SmartSTv2, Royal Road is shown as:
Royal Road, Lyme Park, Disley, Cheshire, England
Also:
Whitby returns Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Altrincham and sale are missing from Smart ST database!
However roads in Sale are found under Manchester. I.E, Wardle Road,
