I have a Mortar Board Hat (like when you graduate) in top left of screen while driving!
What is it and what does it mean? |

Never seen anything that looks like what you describe.
Can you post a picture? Either run the "virtual" on-screen TomTom in Home and do a screen grab, or just take a picture of the screen with a camera. Post it on some webspace or Photobucket type of sharing site and put a link to it here.
Does anything happen if you tap it?
Is it the compass?
If you look through the ON-LINE MANUAL for your model, is there anything that looks like what ou are seeing?
Saying what model and software version you have, might help too. |

400 views and only one correct answer, I guess this goes some way to show that this "feature" gets a lot of use (NOT), I bet most of us have never seen the symbol on the screen - Mike |

Round our way, THIS would be a better icon to warn of approaching a school:

It does, you just haven't found it yet try:
Change Preferences/ Safety Preferences and select the "Warn when near places of worship or schools" pick a sound and give it a try - Mike |

Yehbutnobut there aren't any schools in my POIs - there are places of worship, but no schools. Oh and I meant my GO920 hasn't got schools onnit innit. So when I changed to warn for schools/places of worship and the school next door didn't warn, I thought I'd look for it in the POIs and there wasn't a Schools category. Mind you, my nearest places of worship are Cardiff metropolitan cathedral, then Salisbury Cathedral, Winchester cathedral, Cardinal newmans oratory and Birmingham buddhist vihara. Good job I don't have kids at home to send off to Sunday School. _________________ Dennis

Curious.....if you power up TTHome and go to ADD Maps and then POI's, does it list schools as an available download for free? |
