|
|
Just purchased a 920T from PC World for a bargain £260 and trying to use RDS-TMC receiver. Setup as per instructions for UK and all works well.
However I have my car radio tuned in to 103 on FM and when I switch on the TT920 I lose the radio signal altogether. If I switch the TT off then the radio comes back on again.
Has anyone else had this problem and is their a solution. Tried manual setting of TMC channel but to no avail.

That does not sound like a TMC problem it sounds like you have the FM transmitter on your 920 tuned to 103. Which is not used for the RDS TMC its used for playing mp3's or having the sound through your car speakers.
The TMC freq does not transmit it only recieves. |

Hoopy. Thanks for your reply but I havent set up the fm transmitter for mp3's as I use an ipod separately so that isn't the issue i'm afraid. It is defo the tMC because if I diable the TMC settings the radio then works. |

Take it back and demand a replacement, the unit should not be doing that at all, put the whole lot back in the box and see the store manager, don't be fobbed off with them trying to send it back to TomTom you want a replacement or full refund - Mike |
