As I am taxi driver I add to my map corrections every day, blocking road renaming streets etc.
Today when trying to unblock a street I was greeted with the message.
' PLEASE NOTE : You have already made the maxium number of corrections to this map. If you make a new correction, your oldest correction will be automatically removed. '
Surely the message should be 'Congratulations you have corrected a high number of errors which we made on the new map , so here is you money back since our product is clearly not fit for purpose!'
Is there any way to overcome this limit ?
Anyone else got this message ? _________________ TT 500

It has been posted before - see HERE.
I don't know what the answer is. I suspect that TT put a finite number on your own corrections, hoping that others would also report them and the corrections would be downloaded as updates.
These would then replace the entries in the "corrections you make yourself" category .... hopefully.
Like most other innovations I suspect TT has underestimated, again, the real life requirement. _________________ Richard

Does that mean the missing link is of no relevance to us mere mortals |

I see no reason not to reproduce the OP below, so that you can see that it may be a problem.
Quote: | Was out and about today and was correcting some map errors and the message "mapshare corrections limit reached. any further corrections to the map will delete other corrections made" or something like that. Only had the tt1 3rd edition for about 3 or 4 weeks now and annoyed that the "limit" has been reached. Even tried to use only my own corrections and still has the same message. V frustrating as the errors i was correcting were fairly important. Anybody got any ideas?? |

Oldboy...Thank you for that. Like LesMiserable, I am on the road a lot (not a taxi driver though) and have the opportunity to update maps as and when....Maybe I will run two separate units, one to record updates on the road, and the second for navigation. Ummm. |

Some areas are more restricted than others! As mentioned above nothing sinister. If you look you'll notice all those that can see it are Moderators here. |

Well all those above were until you came along to spoil it.
Anyway, back on topic - LesMiserable have we answered your concerns?
Personally I'm surprised TT make a restriction when they could benefit from "professional" drivers and such. Still, the workings of big business always have been a mystery to me... |
