Hello.
I have updated speed camera data and wish to deactivate the preloaded speed camera PoI files. I have unchecked the 'Active' boxes, but they still show as CAMERA TYPE [ACTIVE] in the list of speed camera PoI files. Does this mean that they are still active or is that just what they're called? I could delete them (I've backed them up), but I'm curious (so I'm told).
Thanks. |

POIs are activated/deactivated separately from their associated Alerts. Looks like you disabled Custom POI data from being displayed on the map but their associated alerts are still active. |

See pages 46 to 48 of your manual. Seems that if you uncheck the speed camera POIs (I think you should have a seperate icon for each type of camera?) then they should be turned off. After doing this, just check a local known camera and see if it still shows on the screen. It should not! _________________ Gee-Pee

Thanks.
I've messed about a bit more. It seems that removing a group of cameras from the 'active' list is done through the 'My Data', 'My POI' screen, rather than the 'Safety Alerts', 'Active POI' screen. I don't know whether you have to deactivate through one, the other or both to actually deactivate the group. I've unchecked 'Active' in the Active POI' screen and unchecked the group in 'My POI', which should work, I imagine. |

Should do - if you followed TheM's advice. _________________ Gee-Pee
