Hi
I've recently updated my GB & Ire map to V710 and my TT O/S to 7.161 and have been asked to join the mapshire community, which I have.
My issue is that I can't find anywhere on my TTG0 300 that enables me to use and submit my own corrections.
Any ideas where this should be?

Thanks
Page 2 is kinda where I thought it would be, but it's not. I'll list what I've got on the main menu pages -
Page 1 - Navigate to, Capture POI, Clear Route, Turn off sound, View Route.
Page 2 - Exit application, Find alternative, Itinerary planning, Use night colours, Add favourities.
Page 3 - Hide POIs, manage POIs, Change preferences, Browse map, Manage favourites
Do you think I should re-load the software 7.161?
Any help will be appreciated.

You are using a Custom Menu, TomTom.mnu, and as there is no MENUITEM for Mapshare, it won't appear.
If you rename the mnu File temporarily it will appear. You can switch between the 2 Menus as, and when, you want to. Not ideal I know. _________________ Richard

Hi
Thanks for the advice.
Probably me being a bit of a clot but even after renaming the TomTom.mnu file I still can't see the mapshare icon when I restart.
I've today upgraded the software to 7.162 if the has any bearing
Looks as though I can receive updates as I've downloaded corrections when I last connected.
Any advice would be appreciated. |

I did it the other day with a 510, at first I couldn't get it either, I'm pretty sure that I had to activate it once in TTHome again. |

Hi
According to Tom Tom Customer Support older models do not support the full functionality of Mapshare.
Yes you can download corrections via tom Tom Home but the functionality of making your own corrections and uploading these is not available.
The models quoted where the full Mapshare experience is available are:
520
720
920
One V3
I have to say this is dissapointing as no where on the Tom Tom website (as far as I can see) is there any mention of model restrictions - only that you need to have a certain level of map and software versions.
Had this been made clear on the Tom Tom website than I not sure I would have purchased the new maps as I really wanting to make a couple of local minor changes which have been bugging me ever since I bought my Tom Tom.
I've written again the Tom Tom Customer Support and am awaiting their response with interest.

One V3 | As it's Panto Season, all I can say is .....Oh, yes it does.
My understanding is that if you have a 675 Map, or later, and V7xxx Software it works.
It does on mine.
Only those models mentioned came with it pre-installed. _________________ Richard

i have it on my device (910) but all the time it just says no updates available. Tried the advice in the other thread concerning 910's but still no go. Also the new maps say they are 1988mb on the home list but on the same list on my device they are 1898mb, however my screen tells me iam useing the 7.10 maps. The app says it is 10.9 on my list yet on Home it says it is 13+ mb. Baffles me. |

If i remember right i had no mention of map corrections on my device then after updating to 7.xx i was looking through TTHome2.1 and then i joined up for mapshare and after i done that i automatically got the map correction icon on my device on page 2 of the menu screen. I think all the devices can get it as long as they are on the v7.xx but you need to connect to TTHome2.1 to upload and recieve corrections by others but you get the full mapshare experience on the TTGo 520, 720, 920 and One v3 which i think you can do it direct from the unit. That is why they list those units for the full mapshare experience but the other models still get mapsharethrough TTHome 2.1
Hope this helps you posa2000[/quote] _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)

If you connect your device to TTHome and do an update it will automatically download the latest version to your device. _________________ NEW Tomtom GO 500 (hope it is good)
