Hello Guys and Geeks,

Does anyone know how to hack MyGuide GPS to run TOMTOM softyware. I understand this is possible but do not know how. Could anyone help please and it will be greatly appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by 'hack', just install TomTom and set the GPS Configuration to 'Other NMEA GPS Receiver'.
GPS baud rate: 4800
Serial Cable on SP2:

Why would you want to run Tom Tom on a MyGuide? I thought MyGuide has navigation software already installed. Why buy another system to clutter it up?

DennisN,

The MyGuide software is really useless, I tried it for a few days, it's possible to drive for 3 miles without it even updating, it's total rubbish.
(much faster and easier to knock somebody's front door and ask for directions)
Also it's not possible to add the speed camera database.
The best option it to remove it completely from the PocketPc (MIO)
and throw away the software that came with it.

the myguide software is actuall iGO this is usually faster try making a full back to your computer then formating the sd card this is something that is wrong with the devic if its not updating the map for 3 miles that dosent sound like a application problem

I think Alix has given a pretty straight answer to the software issue and Sab2244 was able to get the cameras.

I was making ref to the software that I received with the 'MyGuide', it was called Marco Polo. (the same software as Falk Navigator)

I got Myguide 4288 and it has some stupenous software TurboDog installed
I would love to know as weather TomTom or any other would work?
BTW I'm n00b in this area of IT and if somebody would have an answer- I'll need stp1; stp2 guide Embarassed
