It isn't lost the Product Code card is no longer supplied, all updates are handled via TomTom Home and a different system once you use version 7 software - Mike |

I always think it is a good thing to store numbers like this online - if the device were stolen you have records of all the important details - and they won't get lost. - If you want to use the Plus services you will need to be registered - Mike |

That is the problem. I am registered with TomTom Plus Services but since they don't supply a product code with the 720 anymore, how am i supposed to store this info on-line? They only have my device code not product code. |

Mike is right, there's no product code with v7 maps and the "ownership" is handled through "Home"
As to why TomTom hasn't updated it's website and systems, you'll have to ask them!
A few weeks ago they hadn't even informed the people who man their "helplines". One kept asking me for the product code for my 720's maps and was amazed when I told him they didn't have one anymore... |
