anyone know what the smallest tomtom compatible mobile phone is ?

I've looked at their list but surely there are more "normal" phones, i.e not PDA's ?

I've used TT on a Nokia N70, is there anything smaller than that ?

thanks

Smallest phone is Nokia E65 which runs TTNav6 providing you have an external GPS receiver.

Was about to suggest the same.
My E65 runs tomtom very well. You also need an external GPS reciever.

... or maybe the HTC 3300 (T-Mobile MDA Compact 3, or the O2 version) which have built-in GPS receivers so in total are even smaller?

PS They weren't shown on the TomTom approved lists, but I have one (so does Mike Alder) and they work fine with Navigator 6).

That's odd because I though that the 6.0.3 build was specifically to adress issues with these devices. Confused

The HTC P3300 is pre-loaded with TomTom version 6 software as part of the ROM so why it isn't listed as a compatible device is very strange indeed, the derivative devices (O2 XDA-Orbit and T-Mobile MDA C-III use slightly different ROM versions and TT6 is not installed to the ROM so I can understand these not being on the list of supported devices).

6,020 was the first version to offer the "In Built GPS Receiver" option in the menu, I am not too sure what 6,030 offeres even though I am using it, the only noticable difference was the change to the TT boot screen - as it now shows a different image.

There are plenty of people using TT6 on the O2 and T-Mobile devices though so just because its not on the list doesn't mean it won't work - I can 100% recommend the Artemis as it is a cracking bit of kit, if you need WiFi steer clear of the T-Mobile version as they stripped out the WiFi, but to be honest I don't miss it I just use the Web-n-Walk GPRS for internet access when I need it - Mike

The Nokia n73 is another small but decent 3G phone that runs v6 fine.

I used to own Imate jam paired with SysOnChip GPS Bluetooth reciever which I sold and bought the N560. It was almost perfect but the GPS reception was very slow.

I sold my N560 and bought the HTC P3300. It was preloaded with TT6.02 and was running fine. I have updated it now with 6.030. I dont see any difference with the two versions.

Its a lot better to use a device with integrated GPS as you only carry one device with you.

So in my own opinion, HTC P3300 (Artemis) is practically a small device.

Works very well on my N80 - don't know how it compares to other phones - but it's pretty small.
