Hi,
to test the use of setional speedcamera's I added (manually, from inside iGo) two of them on a highway i travel every day, a few kilometers apart. I set the corect direction, and both on the same speed (120km/h).
When i approach the first one i get a warning, telling me the distance, but as soon as i reach them, the warning disapears. When i approach the second one a few km further down the road, its the same ... just a warning telling me the distance. I thought it was suppose to tell me the avg speed between them all the time.
What am i doing wrong? |

Try changing the the "Audible Warning" settings from "Simple" to "When Approaching" otherwise I think you are only warned if you are over the speed limit. |

Recently moved from tomtom to IGO - I have driving around the SW of London and find that the IGO speedcam database is not as accurate as the one for the Tomtom.
The single file works better than the consolidated by type but in many many cases the software warns you when you are going on the opposite direction.
I tested the consolidated this weekend but now installing the single file again as it works a bit better. |

they have exactly the same data...?! or do you mean that the igo doesn't process the data as well as tomtom?

I think Igo reads the single database ok, as i said some cameras are in inverted directon so beeps when I am on the opposite side of the road... no longer have tomtom so can;t compare but will bring to the forum a specific location for discussion.
Also, the iGo could not handle the different BMP that come with the consolidated file - the igo chose to ignore those and used only the standard camera icons (camera and traffic lights) |

Which format does the POI use?
How would you convert a SPUD extension?
The speed cameras uses a TXT extension which work well.
If you need to add caravan parks to the POI? How is it done?
Anybody please |
