Running TomTom 3

Hi Guys,

At present I have Kane Car Pilot ( running a version of Destinator 2) I am not impressed with Dest 3, so will probably go for TomTom 3 instead.
I was wondering if TomTom 3 and Kane can be installed at the same time on the same IPAQ?
Also where is the cheapest you've seen TomTom 3? Best i've found is DABS at £99 inc VAT!

They will co-exist happily on the same PPC :D

Groovy, so how big are the maps and are they in sections like in Dest 2?

1 other thing. Does TT3 have the same post code input method as dest 2?

The full UK Map is 96 MB. They can be installed as single country, 16, 32 or 64MB Sections.

I haven't yet seen TTNav3 but Post Codes are still not fully implemented. There is a far better (and free) 3rd party plug in that works instead!

which plug in is this? Is it part of a POI pack thing I have seen mentioned b4? How do you import these into the PPC?

Read all about it here. Thanks to the work of Niels, a programmer and forum member we have a superb plug-in that just works! Type in the post code, click 'Navigate to' and it automatically launches TT with the correct destination programmed and read to go Not Worthy
