I have exactly the same problem as of today. My GO510 has been perfect for ages but this morning failed to turn on.

I've used the reset several times and now have the green light problem.

I need to find my paperwork then take the first l o n g step into getting TomTom to repair it.

First of all try pressing and holding the reset switch for 30 seconds with a pin or needle, make sure you know where it is located on the device, follow the link "SpikeyMikey" gave for a thread containing a picture of the location - if this fails eject the SD card and try re-seat it before powering on, if that fails send it/ them back as faulty - Mike

Sorry Baz, you need to send the device back, the comment I made intended as a suggestion to the OP to try - it might recover one, two or even all three of his devices - well worth a try - Mike

The other 'trick' you can try is to take the SD Card out, then after 30 secs replace it and it acts as a Reset.

It has been known to work.

Just to repeat my answer to the other thread.

I've used satnav for several years and was trying to remember certain holidays when I'd used it. What I'd forgotten was that I was using a PDA version in those days.

I've checked my paperwork and discovered it was bought last September so is still under warrenty.

I'll be contacting TomTom later and hope to get it repaired before the warrenty runs out in September Twisted Evil

Many thanks for the feedback.

But mine is totally dead as though it has a flat battery. I've booted it up in the past by mistake while the SD card was still in the card reader and it starts followed by a 'insert card' icon. Mine won't even do that.

Thanks anyway but I think it's a repair job.

I think you will find that your 510 will have a two year warranty from TomTom, but as it is less than tweleve months since you purchased it the retailer should should sort things out for you based upon the rules related to the sale of goods. You cant expect a replacement or your money back afer this amount of time, but they should repair it for you as required, without charge. If it cannot be repaired they should replace it or offer you a refund perhaps with a reduction for the amount of time you have had good use from it.
