|
|
Just bought an ipaq 2210 to use as GPS in my van.
(not bought software yet, waiting for Tom Tom 3 reviews- need postcodes working)
Can anyone suggest a Bluetooth receiver suitable for concealed installation under the glove box area, with external/windscreen internal mount GPS aerial?
Dont want one of the rechargeable smart mouse/gps receivers that has to be on top of the dashboard, it will get stolen, and I dont like wires everywhere to keep it powered/charging.
GPS aerial will probably be the 'stick to the windscreen' type from
http://www.g-com.co.uk
So what I need is a bluetooth reciever, with an aerial socket, that can be hard wired to 12V supply, and maybe left permanently powered so I dont have to suffer 'cold start' delays etc.
Any help appreciated !

They make a bluetooth receiver that is meant to be permantly concealed.
It does have to have a wired antenna though. |

That is the unit. They had quick service for me in the states (on the software)
I suggest you search the site to make sure it is compatible with your IPAQ and software you were looking for.
Good luck! |

I emailed the Deluo support team,
They responded quickly with a good reply, a rarity these days!
so I have ordered today (monday) and will see how long it takes to arrive in UK.
The price of $159.90 + $29.00 international shipping, $188.90 total, includes an external antenna, so not a bad price really.
About £106 GBP at todays exchange rate ( + import duty and VAT of course.)
All I need now is for Tom Tom 3 to be released this week

If you buy it from the USA it might not be EGNOS enabled
