new tomtom 710 problem

hi could anyone help me? i'v just purchased a tomtom 710, twas working fine from the store to my home, but after conecting it to my pc to carry out a back up, the unit is not working, the screen appears to be on but with no display. i don't know if i'v done something wrong, any help would be much appreiciated. Thanks

Now's the time to find out what the Reset button does.

It's the very small hole underneath where the mount goes.

thanks Richard, before you replied i checked other peoples problems and found one similar to mine, i hit the reset button and all is well, thanks again for your swift responce. :D
