Hi All,

Downloded and installed. It recognised my previous install and asks if you want to remove the old program, and does the same for old map data. After the deletion and reinstalling I did not need to re-enter my reg details.

I have not used it in anger as yes but have done some static routing. Credit where credit is due! Every route I have done thus far is exactly as I would have gone! No more taking me on mystery tours, great.

Roundabouts are back too. My only observation so far is that it struggles in some larger "complicated" roundabouts. One near me at Segensworth
is duel carridgeway to large roudabout which has a slip road for a left turn to join the M27. Destinator is telling me to go straight on...erm,nope.

Early days I know but its a huge improvement. I would like to hear what everyone else thinks. Any pitfalls etc ?

Regards,

Steve.

Hi,

I used NERO 6.3.0.3 . No problems burning the two CD's.

Dont know what to suggest as most authoring software can handle ISO to burn as an image.
try burning t a slower speed and finalize the CD?

Regrds,

Steve.

Hi,

The two ISO's are CD images. These need to be opened and burned by your authoring software. Once burned the contents of the ISO are put onto the CD and structured as directories and viewable files.

You can expand the files using isobuster to a local hard drive and do it that way, but burning the ISO to CD will give you the actual CD's.

In NERO its "burn image", then browse to the ISO file and open. NERO will then go off and burn it giving you a useable CD. Do the same for both.

Regards,

Steve.

Mine has just started to download after numerous attemps Thumbs Up I guess the server must be stressed at the moment as everybody is trying to download at the same time.

If the download/patch is linked to the Serial number, why cant they just put it into the support section/downloads. ?? It's not even listed

Yogi-Bear

Let's hope it fixes all of the known problems

Installed and working ! Roundabouts are there and directions clear ie take roundabout, 2nd exit. Though still a bit confused at complicated junctions , when is a roundabout not a roundabout ?

Routing is definitely better, on familiar routes uses sensible main roads, mostly, but like any routing software still does things you wouldn't expect if you have local knowledge.

Recalculate quicker but seems to take longer and maybe two or more goes if you persist in ignoring U turn instructions but accurate and gets you there

A few areas where it wants to go down private roads but tha's probably Navtech, I've posted one already to them.

So in conclusion much better than it was.

Hope everyone else gets downloaded, I had no problems ! 8)
