As mentioned previously, after downloading speed camera update, the icons seem to have changed round. i.e. mobile to gatso, temp to redlight.
hope this is the right place to ask. Thanks |

haha, at least your safety camera icons are still safety camera icons, albeit the wrong ones - mine have changed to pint glasses!
made me laugh anyway! |

I'm using a C510 and yep, reinstalled all POIs and still same problem exists, but at least the POIs are in the right location and named correctly I guess! |

|

Hi
Sorry in advance if this has been answered somewhere else - I really have spent an hour searching for an answer and can't find one - so....
I have a Garmin C510 on which I have expanded with a memory card in drive F; I have combined some POI downloads including the speed camera database, and for the first time, the Icon that appears is not that icon that 'matches' the POI (i.e the Red Light Camera shown a Shell petrol station icon!!).
I have tried reloading JUST the speed cameras, which then JUST show a dot rather than the red light icon - it is as if the speed camera icons are not being recognised??? All the other POI's are basically displaying the icon for the eight entry further down the folder - i.e any 'Aldi Store' POI shows a 'Brewsters' Icon when in Map mode!!
Any ideas appreciated
Cheers |

It was covered here: http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=51619 . To save you reading the whole thread, this fault was introduced by the V5.2.0 firmware.
V4.1.0 introduced a Power-off/Hang/Crash on encountering 24bit .BMP files - V4.0.0 is OK. Despite reporting the V4.1.0 bug to Garmin through two different channels, I have yet to receive a reply. If the V5.2.0 firmware is anything to go by, Garmin let the users do the testing |

Thanks Phil - appreciate the answer and link; not impressed about Garmin using us as user acceptance testing though!

Well, at least you've found the reason... even if it is a bit naff...
Best bet would be to get onto Garmin about it - if enough people complain then I'm sure they'll be more likely to change it quicker!
