what phone are you using ??
It must be connecting to the phone if takes your contacts
I would check the settings on your phone to make sure it is enabled as a hands free device |

I've got a 360T and all of a sudden my bluetooth doesn't work. The Nuvi says that Bluetooth is disabled but freezes if I try to enable it. I even tried disabling it as a kind of reset and it freezes! |

Yep, seems i`m not the onlyone then !!. I just picked up the nuvi 310 and cant get the phone to stay connected to the nuvi. It pairs correctly the phone icon appears in the menu screen , then after about a minute it tells me it cant connect to phone.
Yes as far as I now ALL settings are correct in both Nuvi and phone, I checked out Garmins Bluetooth sections and phone compatibility - followed the tut to the book . And still no-go.
AHHHH.
The phone btw is sony`s ericsson T68.
Thanks all.

my samsung d900 has just decided not to work with the nuvi 360. it pairs no problem but won't take or make calls or even show the phone book...
grrrr.... 'tis annoying.. have even reloaded the bluetooth firmware in diagnostics menu to no avail.
