|
|
I have Tomtom 5 with GB Maps V562 and have purchased new maps with tt6 free.I have recieved instructions on how to download the maps using Tomtom home and have downloaded the program.
My problem is it will not login it just times out.I have checked the firewall and access is granted and I have internet explorer 6 as I have been informed by Tomtom support it does not work with IE7.I have notified Tomtom support about this and their answer was to use another computer.
I have tried on three different computors with the same result the spinning earth just turns grey
Any ideas? 8O |

Try using File | Login on the Menu Bar at the Top of the HOME Window.
Make sure that the Login details are the same as those used to Login when connecting to the TomTom Website. _________________ Richard

Thanks for your help but I have since found out there is a problem with Tomtom Home when using the BT Voyager 2100 wireless router and you have to change a setting on the router to logon. 8O |

I didn't know that. Although I have downloaded new maps for TT5 v660 and it worked fine on IE7.
Did they actually say that IE7 doesnt work with TT6?

I have exactly the same problem.
Connect via Narrowband I can log into TomTom Home
Connect via USB Broadband I can log into TomTom Home
Connect via Voyager 2100 wireless Broadband router I am unable to log into TomTom Home
Does anyone know what the config change to the router is (N.B. I have tried turning off IP filtering but that didn't fix it) ? |

Never had any problems with my Voyager 2100 and TomTom and I have it very securely clamped down.
The settings on the other site (Touring and Tenting) seem to refer to the network transport config that determines the maximum block size to be transmitted - if so it should be totally transparent to the application (in this case IE) - will have to investigate when I get home. |
