I have done a search of the forums but cannot find anything that tells me how to update my i3 once my (free) V9 update disc arrives in the post. I purchased it from Staples with V8 maps preloaded on an SD card.
Can someone point me in the right direction to find an idiot's guide to uploading maps? I can find some for other models
Oh, and I couldn't find anything on Garmin's site either. |

Found this...seems to imply a fast usb connection and an unlock code for the cd...

I haven't actually upgraded an i3 myself but from what I have seen of Garmin's map loader, it's pretty much idiot proof. _________________ Gone fishing! |

Yeah they do, just picked up a 310 with the V8 mapping, having regged with Garmin and all the numbers you have to give them etc, it transpired I WAS elegible for the free update.
As is mentioned in the above posts , this does seem to be date dependant.
Great forum btw guys, nice to be a part of it.

Does anyone know if the City Navigator Europe NT v9 SD card would work with the Streetpilot i3? It's not listed in their compatibility list, maybe because the 2GB card is too big for the i3 to handle?
Also is the free v9 upgrade offer when registering the City Navigator Europe v8 DVD still happening?
Thanks,
Neil. |
