|
|
Only had my 2210 since yesterday & it's been fine up till now. It's started to go very slow if anything happens at all, tap start & it takes 30 seconds to bring up the menu, go into programs & it take at least 10 seconds just to draw each icon. Just gone into Tomtom & it now wont let me get passed the "tap on screen" screen at all. Tried a soft reset seemed to work for about 1 min then back to the same again.....
Any idea's??

After a soft reset the 2210 was working fine, until I tried Tomtom 2, same symtoms as below but now I know that is must be the Tomtom software causing the problem. Was using it today without any problems whilst out on the road but started whilst sitting in front of the telly having a play....Basically it's running very slow & mostly locking up. Any help appreciated.

A Soft reset is just like hitting a reset button on your PC. It just clears memory.
Which version of TomTom Navigator 2 are you running, and how many POI files do you have in the country directory ?
There is a known issue on the 2210 (personally I haven't hit it), but processes can be eaten up slowing down the Pocket PC. There's more information and an application fix at ScaryBear Software website. |

Thanks Dave but I sorted it, for some reason the PDA chose to change my CF card Holux CF_generic (I think) to just COM3. Don't know why but when changed back it worked fine....MMmm learning curve
Cheers
