|
|
I have Tom Tom Navigator and received the CheckPoint 'Safety Camera' database as well but after many many attempts I couldn't get it to work.
I've now installed your POI-Sync and OV2 files which work perfectly - Great stuff !
One question - Where can I locate suitable WAV files to link into the 1st and 2nd warnings. The only WAV files I can find are those included with Tom Tom, but messages like "Take the Ferry" don't really help in alerting to a Camera
Thanks |

Gizmocrazy, you asked the question while I was still thinking about it.
Dave, I followed your link and it works great. However, I do have 1 small problem - the volume or lack of it. The TomTom voice sings out loud and clear but the WAV files that I have downloaded are only just audible do you have any idea how I can beef up the volume ? The TomTom volume is set at it's highest and the iPAQ's volume is also set at it's highest. |

At last I found CheckPOInts own web-site at http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl
If you look on the Download page there are Dutch German and English WAV files.
Also some very useful infor about upgrades etc.

Just open them up in Sound Recorder on the PC and increase the Volume 4 or 5 times and they should be loud enough. |

Yes Gizmo crazy. But the Checkpoint warnings I have are American. Any English ones? |
