The problem with motorway exits is that no sat nav system seems to allow for the length of the off-slip and assumes the exit is the point at which the off-slip splits from the main carriageway.

Is this what you mean by passing the exit before you're told to leave the motorway?.

Yes that is exactly what I meant to type. This is my first unit so have no experience of other units.

To add a little humour, ernest_mio, I guess you should be grateful that you're travelling fast enough on a motorway to worry about missing your exit. Laughing CoPilot

In today's traffic, the trend is more likely to be stuck in traffic, dying for the loo and counting down to the exit. Stop it!

Maybe you can't remember being stuck in traffic - you just have a problem leaving at the correct exit :D :D

Having taken delivery of a new BMW - maybe the Mio is right and I should leave lane 3 and go up the slip road when Philipa tells me its time to "leave the motorway"

Interesting - Have you hacked the files? Mine says "highway" when in miles and motorway when in Kilometers,

Correct - I followed the tips given on this site to cure the roundabout issue, change highway to motorway and alter the voice scripts when appraoching motorway slip roads.

The roundabout issue was fixed in v3.2 - I am one of the lucky ones who has a stable version of v3.2 - however, I still prefer the other modifications, so run with sal, whoops sorry philipa, as my voice file.

The IGO software forum, on this site, was where I picked up my information about altering the voice scripts. I'm not an expert more of a poke and hope/try and see person.

:D

Oh, right, so now you're going to be one of those BMW drivers who cuts right across 3 lanes and straight onto the slip road.

Does Philipa say "leave the motorway NOW" or does she give you warning?? Laughing Laughing

I'm glad we managed to get your motorway exit problem resolved BEFORE you got your new car.

New car, but will the C710 not spoil your image? I think you should give it to someone who would dearly love to get TMC working! :D

Glad to see that there is a light hearted side.

You read too much in to the "new" word - with the C710 in the car the total value of car and contents has doubled!!!!

Image - what Image - its it me or does everyone else struggle to operate the Mio with driving gloves on?

That Philipa is a lovely girl by why wont she listen to what I say for a change.

:D Smile
