Yes otherwise no image will appear. Just unzip the csv and the bmp files to the same directory and tell POILoader thats where the files re and it'll do the rest. |

hi,i have a i3 unit and have been putting poi's from your tt5 files into it and now the garmin files also.
is there anyway to delete the poi's from the i3 so i can "start" again?.
its a rite mess now with alerts popping up for speed limits etc that dont exist,
cameras that dont exist,etc etc.
thanks. |

Hi forx,
Whenever you update the POI files on your i3 using the Garmin POI Loader you automatically delete and overwrite the old POI database in your i3.
So if you just load the latest POI's that you want to use all your old data should disappear.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Robert Swanson

hi,no not the kph thing, these are like 50mph on a motorway or 30mph in the 40 zones,,getting ridiculous sometimes,or telling me im doing over 70 on motorway(i know what speed im going)bong,bong,bong..if theres cameras fair enuff but they just seem random bongs...
been having to switch it off and rely on the angel gatso/radar detector i have as backup on A roads.and changing lanes a lot on motorways.
i think they are residue from old roadworks maybe, would be nice to have seperate option wether to install these or not as they have no realtime value, shouldnt be speeding in roadworks whatever and should be aware if theres roadworks anyhow ..
ps,im on a bike most of the time(have fitted h/phone socket to i3).
cheers. |

If you look at the display it should give you some feedback ie. GATSO: 12345 @ 50 where GATSO is the type, 12345 is the database ID and @ 50 is the limit.
Note that MOBILE sites are not always occupied.
Also if you are using the Sat Nav in MAP mode (i.e not with a guided route) you might be warned of cameras off route - varies from Sat Nav to Sat Nav.
If you can get a camera ID or two then if it shows a non-existent camera at a location then submit it for removal.
The problem is without knowing a) exactly what roads and where this is happening and b) exactly what alerts are being shown then it's difficult to pin-point exactly whats happening.... |

WOOHOO i finally got the camera database on the i3 however the bloody thing dosen't alert me at all. i can have it just on a map or actually navagating somewhere but neither works. I have put it on there manually with a 500 ft distance to alert and the quick way where you have to be going quicker than the speed limit but neither works.
thanks for you help as well paul you sorted out my last problem great! :D |
