So what did Winkle orginally say then?
Regards, |
Oh OK, I see the moderators have removed his advert now.
He's advertising two "limited edition" pirated Navteq DVD's: 2006-2 for £25.00 and the latest 2007-1 for £35.00. He's claiming his DVD's are unique amongst other pirated versions of this media because they include integrated (PocketGpsWorld.com) speed camera POI.
Edit Once Mike Alder - the last para was the same as advertising the link, hence its removal, please refrain from offering this type of data/ service on the site |

NOTE TO ALL: I AM NOT A SOFTWARE PIRATE, AND THIS WAS NOT MY ADVERT.
I was reporting piracy of the speed camera database, but seems some folks have incorrectly concluded that I'm the guilty party here. |

I don't think anyone thought you were guilty but, in providing the link, you provided a route to the information and thereby the download. _________________ Tim |

Well, actually someone did :-)

I don't really see how a link to a post is any different to a link to an eBay advert or vendor.
Whatever. Maybe the modertors should consider providing a non-public reporting mechanism so that people don't get for reporting here in public. |

Thanks Paul, I've now filed reports against all the listings that contained or we believe contained our data. _________________ Darren Griffin |

Thank you all now reported. We've also just revoked the membership of a lifetime member after finding the database on a file sharing download site. I won't identify him/her but thought it worth mentioning in case anyone lese thought it worth risking _________________ Darren Griffin |
