My Streetpilot is loaded with City Navigator Europe NT+V8, but is only unlocked for GB. I understand that I need a 'deluxe unlock' in order to access western europe (I need it for the Netherlands and France), but I have long since lost my registration code which I believe may be needed for this purpose.
Does anyone have any suggestions regarding suitable european maps (with similar detail and coverage as the City Navigator Europe NT+V8), or how to fully unlock City Navigator Europe NT+V8????? |

your i3 has only uk and the very northern part of france mapping on it....garmins is a bit mis-leading in the way it says the maps are 'europe' and that also a cd is included in the package... _________________ *************************** |

Suggest heading over Here for reasonably priced (£99) MetroGuide Europe v8. I'd advise following one of the the guides on this forum to make this routable, suggest this one.
The are other alternatives, such as MapSource City Navigator (around £200!) or individual country maps on SD card - approx £60-£70 each. _________________ Garmin i3 gone (sold on eBay)

You can get metroguide V8 a lot cheaper from Ebay and I would suggest using a utility called metrowizz. I was involved in the thread you quote before metrowizz was released. The old method was very difficult to follow.
you can download metrowizz from

I hope this helps _________________ i3 2.70(went to 2.82,3.0,3.1 but downgraded) with V8 map on microSD card
