I have a Garmin C310 and have downloaded the POI Loader onto my PC. I have also downloaded 3 different databases but the Garmin POI loader comes up with an error insisting that there are no data files in that directory and asks to specify a directory with at least one .csv file. It appears that the databases are zipped, but I am a technophobe and have no idea how to upzip them or change the file extension type to .csv
Please help..I already have 6 points on my licence...this software can't be loaded on to my sat nav quickly enough!! |

Did you download the POIloader i3, Nuvi etc. database? If so, right click on the file and select Extract all. This should unzip the file for you then you just point POI loader to the directory. There's no need to change any file extensions.

Glad to have helped! I tested mine out on a known speed camera nearby, it worked perfectly. |

Look in the Speed Cameras section in the left-hand column of the page, Camera Help Guides, Garmin iQue. _________________ Anita

Although I have unzipped your download and can easily locate your .csv files -after I define the correct directory for the loader to load from; the Garmin POI loader comes up with an error insisting that there are no data files in that directory and asks to specify a directory with at least one .csv file.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled loader and the same still happens. Any ideas???
thanks again |
I have the same problem my wife has put me on a suicide watch have you found a solution yet? |

I have just bought a nuvi 300 with pre-down loaded speed cameras.
Does your web site support nuvi 300?
I have down loaded Garmin POI on my hard drive but I don't know how to open it up or use it. Usually on the desk top there is a logo to double click to open it up but not in this case.
I am a novice can you help? |
