|
|
I have just recieved my i3 from maplins electronics.
It does not have a memory card as advertised so I believe it is the newer model with the pre-loaded maps.
I emailed Maplins before i bought the unit and asked if the unit contained detailed UK maps, which they confirmed it did.
However I have found that when i search the database and maps for Local Sainsburys store, Local Retail Parks etc (which have been there for 10 or more years) they do not exist.
The box says it is V8 uk.ireland and the map soure states city navigator Europe NT+ v8
Is there a more detailed map available and is this easy to install or update as I seem to have the newer unit without the memory card (which wasnt really the unit I thought I was purchasing)
Thanks Ollie |

Welcome to the forum, you do indeed have the latest map for your device, the database though is a colection of POI (points of interest), these can be suplemented by installing additional POI to the device (the custom ones made by others or yourself) will be far more up to date, have a dig around for MaFTs web site, there are loads of POI available for the i3. - Mike |
