Will i3 work ok?

I have a c310 but my sister is thinking of getting an i3, but their car has a heat insulating windscreen (mine does not). If they borrow mine and it works ok without an external antenna, does it follow that the i3 will also work ok in their car or does the fact that they are different sat nav models (with different bits inside) mean that it is still trial and error whether the i3 wil work

Any thoughts?

Hi doobs,

We have two i3's.

My wife has one which she uses in her Renault Megane, which has a heat reflecting windscreen, and it works perfectly.

I use mine in my Ford Focus, which has a heated windscreen, and that also works OK.

On both cars the i3's are mounted on the dashboard rather than via the suction pads on the windscreen, but both acquire a satellite signal within 30 seconds or so, and operate most of the time on full single strength.
