bluetooth vs CF cards

what is the pros and cons of bluetooth vs CF cards..and any advantages of bluetooth over the CF??

Would CF GPS work with my XDA !! ??

Bluetooth really is similar in pro's and con's to CF, the main differences is that Bluetooth GPS Receivers have their own battery so they don't drain the battery of the Pocket PC, they can sit in your pocket and not look abtusive hanging out of the Pocket PC and generally signal wise work better (esp in-car) compared with a CF card.

Downsides of Bluetooth is, you have to keep remembering to charge the battery (can be a problem), sometimes under heavy processor load you can lose a BT connection having to re-connect.

If you're out walking then a CF card is probably best, but if you're looking to use it in-car all the time, and you like CF then you may need an external patch antenna, whereas Bluetooth works well in all environments.

One other major issue is that BT GPS batteries tend to have a charge life of around 400-500 charges, similar to mobiles, but you can't easily change the batteries on most of them.

thanks for the very usful info..but does the CF card work with my XDAII? and regarding CF draining The PPC battery..I thought when BT is switch on on the PPC it also consume the battery?? thanks
