If I use tomtom in the car, I get frequent 'Charging' and 'Battery full' messages. They make it difficult to see the display and menus. They also mute the car stereo. I suspect they are Nokia features rather than tomtom features but they are annoying.
Does anybody know how to turn these messages off? |

You can't. Although the charging message should only appear when you first plug in your charger, and then the battery full message of course when the battery is full.
If you are getting either of them more than once per trip then you may have a dodgy connection somewhere which is causing the power lead to lose connection with the phone.
If you change the settings in TomTom so the backlight is only on when the phone is charging then you'll be able to see if you are losing your connection as the backlight will go out. |

I had not thought that it might be a fault. Thanks for the suggestion. I will investigate. |

Mark was right. It was a dodgy power connection in the car kit. A replacement phone holder has been ordered. Thanks for the help, I appreciate that a lot. |
