|
|
I have an iPAQ 3975 with Windows 2002 and upgraded ROM to 2.10 with the SD patch and a Pharos BT GPS running TTN2 USA 2.24 GPS v2.06. Program in main memory and maps on SD card.
When I drive, my position on the TTN2 map is of by 5 seconds. The instructions are off by the same 5 seconds. Any ideas? |

Do you notice the same lag in other GPS applications or is it just in TomTom?
When did you last defragment your SD card? _________________ Lutz

I had Powerloc Destinator 1 and it did the same thing. I formated my sd card and then used a USB SD interface to format and copy the maps onto the SD card from my PC. I wrote to Tomtom support. They suggested using NEMA 0183v2 instead of SiRF. I'll see if that makes a difference.
I'll keep everyone posted. |

That was it! Switching from SiRF to NEMA worked. |

Hi tried mine today and it is showing a slight lag, not on long roads but when you get two turnings after one another.
e.g. i've just turned of a long road then when i get a right or left turn say 100 yards it does not know till after i turned. Then when I'm going down the street it says turn Left/Right. Where it is impossible to do so.
It just not updating quick enough is there away to do this.
I'm using Sysonchip NMEA 4800 i have a feeling it maybe something to do more with the software than the GPS receiver.
Does anyone else have these problems |
