Yebbut - for the average, normal user, the answer is no - nor are there any commercial solutions to this.
So yes, you could hack the audio file(s), but unless you thoroughly want to get your hands dirty, plus you just convenienty happen to have different suitable voice files / data, the answer is no. |

You can change it from a smooth sounding british ladys voice to an aggressive rasping american lady in the settings panel. Bear in mind within 5 minutes you will want to kill everyone in your cars path :D _________________ Garmin StreetPilot i3

I am still at a loss to find this setting that's been mentioned many times on here to change to the British voice. Mine just doesn't have it.
And I'd love to change it because the American bird is horrible. |

Thanks for that, sorted now BUT can I just mention up to this morning I was using SW version 2.50 as I had heard nothing but problems with 2.70.
I used Garmin webupdater this morning (which appeared to do nothing) but then this evening I noticed I had the language option in the menu whereas I hadn't before so something must have been done.
All sorted now anyway and Doris is now a British chick instead of a yank. |
