My hardware: Medion MDPPC 200 & Realtec wired receiver.
software: upfraded to Tomtom Nav 5 from 3.
Ritst off the GPS lock seems to take a lot longer than from nav 3, and if I accidently disconect the charger gps signal looses and I have to switch off and back on to get a signal again about 80% of the times.. 20% of the times it picks up fine by itself.
Another starnge thing is.. It only picks up signal initially when the car is moving.. not when its stoped!!!
And in the GPS screen there are NO satelites shown (but the 1st time I tried after the update I did see 6/7 satelites) now it never shows! not in the main screen either, there are no bars.. but there is good signal.. as it knows where I am!
Whats messing up? Should I go back to Nav 3.7?? Or keep using Nav 5 as these are only minor gliches? Can I use the new Nav 5 UK map on the Nav 3.7? if I have both licences?
thanks peps.. :D |

Firstly, reprogram your receiver to include the GPGSA sequence. Set the receiver to NMEA 4800.
Secondly read the bug list for TTN in this forum - most of your issues are described there. _________________ Lutz

Because TomTom (the company) decided so. _________________ Lutz
