Does anybody know when the poi speed camera database for the new garmin units will work with Garmin poiloader. I keep getting error messages, saying that the file is invalid, when I try to upload the files to my garmin c310. I was forced to try another site in Europe poihandler and everything worked out fine, and the unit is updated no problem, even though I am using the fresh version of poiloader which some had been reporting problems with. |

When I point the loader at the extracted directory from the zip file it has an error message. The loader says that the csv file is invalid.
Please could you help.
Thanks Leo |
Open the .csv poi files with NotePad and remove the headline:
Longitude,Latitude,Name
then re-save the file and it will then load OK. |

got an i3 yesterday and downloaded the database, installed it via the poi loader no problem, but when i was out last night it picked up all the speed cameras on route, but gave a speed limit of 19mph in 30 zones and 25mph in a 40 zone, anyone else had this problem? anyway of changing it? |

I would guess your units between POI loader and Garmin are not the same (KPH / MPH)
I never use Auto install and always do it "manually" |

Although I have unzipped your download and can easily locate your .csv files -after I define the correct directory for the loader to load from; the Garmin POI loader comes up with an error insisting that there are no data files in that directory and asks to specify a directory with at least one .csv file.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled loader and the same still happens. Any ideas???
thanks again |
Hi, just bought Garmin I3 - so novice.
Came without memory card and cd, but map is pre-loaded and I have downloaded POI loader from Garmin.
Have downloaded your database but when I try to use POI loader it cannot recognise any .csv files.
Which is the correct file to use for the overlay please and is it ok to load it straight onto the device without an external card
thanks very much
|

I've just manually loaded the speed cameras database and set the warning to 200 feet. Is there anyway I can not increase this?
Thanks all,

If you have done it manually you need to start again in poiloader and set the distance you require. _________________ Mike Barrett |
